Our engineers are specialists in full locomotive, rail vehicle and component overhaul. UKRL has a proven track record of overhauling multiple vehicles and returning them to Mainline operation in addition to large component overhaul contracts, such as bogies and engines.
Operators work with UKRL to develop and implement strategic plans for traction and rolling stock; making sure vehicles are back in service with minimal delay.
Careful planning minimises downtime, improves availability and hence saves costs by increasing service life. The planning of processes, including sourcing of obsolete components and providing due diligence during the procurement process, benefits and enhances managing and delivering entire maintenance regimes thereby reducing lifecycle costs.
